The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is seeking a highly organised and proactive Department Administrator to provide essential administrative support within the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

Working closely with academic and professional colleagues across the Department of Education and the Office for Academic and Student Affairs (OASA), the postholder will support the effective delivery of postgraduate and preparatory programmes, including GPISH, STEP, and PGPP. The role plays a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, accurate record-keeping, and high-quality support for students, faculty, and staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a dynamic academic environment and contributing to the success of teaching and learning programmes within a values-driven institution.

What We're Looking For
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in academic or educational administration, ideally within Higher Education.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with online learning platforms such as Moodle or Canvas.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a professional, student-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
