About the Role

We are seeking a committed and resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with strong behavioural experience to join our inclusive primary school in Camden. This is a full-time role supporting pupils in Years 1 and 2 within a specialist SEMH provision.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and Director of Inclusion to provide tailored support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to re-engage with learning, develop emotional regulation, and successfully reintegrate into mainstream classes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

* Implement behaviour management strategies, including restorative and de-escalation approaches.

* Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional progress.

* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and external professionals.

* Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

* Communicate effectively with parents/carers to support pupil progress.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

* Has strong behavioural management experience in a school or SEMH setting.

* Understands SEMH needs and therapeutic approaches to learning.

* Can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

* Is resilient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education.

* Can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
