The Teaching Assistant Job
The successful Teaching Assistant applicant will join a dedicated team in a fantastic SEN school in Ealing that provides for pupils agedas a Teaching Assistant. Your teaching assistant role will involve creating a safe environment where young people can thrive. For this teaching assistant job I am seeking intelligent, resilient and intuitive individuals who can implement tailored strategies to promote the development of social skills and communication and drive academic progress.

The Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
Promote pupil's independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
Delivering independent life skills training and work related experiences
Guide pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
Assist with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to enhance the work of the teacher and increase achievement of all pupils
Promote and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
The Teaching Assistant Applicant
The ideal teaching assistant applicant will be have the following qualities:
Enjoyment of working with young people
Good judgement and understanding, to help build good relationships with pupils
Experience with young people who have learning difficulties in either a professional or personal context
A drive to get the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school
dedication to safeguarding pupil's well-being and equality
Honest, hardworking, transparent with a willingness to learn and develop
Good literacy and numeracy skills
