You are a current Lecturer - SEND looking to work in a supportive, forward‑thinking college? We are recruiting for a Lecturer - SEND to join our team on a sessional, hourly‑paid basis, term‑time only, with a competitive salary of £14.16 to £24.74 per hour, including London weighting, depending on qualifications and experience.
The RoleYou will provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You will also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision.
Responsibilities- Plan and develop lessons, including the development of schemes of work
- Develop and implement learner‑centred assessment methods, with focus on constructive and developmental feedback for our students
- Encourage, monitor and report on attendance, progress and achievements of students
- Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standards in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply
- Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support their development and future progression
- Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure relevance and continued employability of our students
- Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector
- Hold a teaching qualification and have experience teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
- Good administrative skills and ability to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements
