Cadets Programme Tutor

Position: Cadets Programme Tutor (Permanent)
We are looking for a committed and engaging Cadets Programme Tutor to deliver accredited learning to young people undertaking Cadets study programmes, including Duke of Edinburgh and additional Health and Fitness qualifications. This role is based in HMYOI Feltham.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching across a range of courses, supporting learner progress and achievement, and ensuring learning is delivered to a Good or Outstanding Ofsted standard. You will develop young people-centred teaching, learning and assessment strategies which contribute to increased retention, achievement, and progression of the young people we support.

You will also be required to follow all processes relating to qualifications and examinations, including registration and submissions to validating bodies.

Working pattern:

Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday (8:00 to 16:45) and Wednesday (8:00 to 13:30)
Week 2:
Monday to Thursday (8:00 to 16:45) and Friday (8:00 to 13:30)

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering Cadets study programme learning, including Duke of Edinburgh and Level 1 and Level 2 Health and Fitness qualifications
Planning and delivering engaging sessions to meet learner needs and support progress
Developing effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies to improve outcomes
Completing all qualification and examination processes, including registrations and awarding body submissions
Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to learner achievement and progression
Essential requirements:

Qualified to deliver Cadet’s qualifications, including Duke of Edinburgh and Level 1 and Level 2 Health and Fitness qualifications
A recognised teaching or training qualification (such as QTS, QTLS, DTTLS or PGCE)
