Head of Geography

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Head of Geography to join a mainstream secondary school in East London. The position is available for an April or September start
, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

This role would suit an experienced Head of Geography or an ambitious Geography teacher ready to take the next step into middle leadership. The successful candidate will combine strong subject knowledge with the ability to lead and inspire a team, driving high standards of teaching and learning across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and develop the Geography department
• Drive curriculum planning, assessment and standards across KS3 and KS4
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise attainment
• Support, coach and develop Geography staff
• Contribute to wider school improvement priorities

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Be a strong classroom practitioner with excellent subject knowledge
• Demonstrate leadership potential and effective team management skills
• Be committed to inclusive practice and high expectations for all students
