Senior Mathematics Specialist - Sixth Form & Academic Enrichment
Circa £35,000 FTE (pro rata). September 2026 Start | 1-year fixed-term. Full-time or part-time considered.
VNA Education is working with a high‑performing sixth form provision to appoint an exceptional Mathematician in Residence to support the most able students studying A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
The Role- Teach a reduced timetable of A-Level Maths and Further Maths
- Work intensively with high-attaining and Oxbridge/Russell Group applicants
- Lead problem-solving, enrichment and mathematical extension programmes
- Support university preparation, including interviews and entrance exams
- Share subject expertise and best practice with teaching staff
- Contribute to the strategic development of an elite maths provision
- Strong postgraduate qualification in Mathematics or a related field
- Exceptional subject knowledge with a passion for advanced mathematics
- Proven ability to support students to the highest academic outcomes
- Confident communicator able to coach, mentor and inspire
- Teaching qualification not required – academic credibility and aptitude for teaching essential
- Committed to high standards, inclusion and safeguarding
