Flexible, within 09:00 – 17:00

Pay: £27.92 PAYE per hour or £36.54 UMBRELLA per hour

Role Summary

As a Freelance Music Tutor, you will deliver individualized music lessons in-person or online. You will guide students through their musical journey, developing their technical skills, confidence, and love for music. This role requires creativity, flexibility, and a strong understanding of musical disciplines, including performance, theory, and composition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, one-to-one music lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Create custom lesson plans across multiple instruments or vocal training.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Introduce students to diverse musical styles and theory.
  • Prepare students for performances, exams, and competitions.
  • Communicate regularly with students and, where applicable, their guardians about progress.
  • Stay updated on the latest music education trends and teaching methods.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in one or more musical instruments or vocal techniques.
  • Strong understanding of music theory.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all ages.
  • Flexibility to teach remote or in-person sessions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field preferred but not mandatory.
