GSL Education London Branch is currently looking for a talented Science Teacher to join supportive and vibrant secondary schools in Newham and Tower Hamlets starting in September 2025. Whether you're an experienced Science Teacher or an ECT ready to begin your teaching journey, this is a fantastic chance to inspire young minds and make a lasting impact.
The ideal Science Teacher will have a strong subject knowledge, a love for teaching, and the ability to create engaging and effective lessons that spark curiosity and creativity.
Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable)
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress
- Encourage and inspire students to achieve their full potential in Science
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school staff
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
Requirements for the Science Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching Science in UK secondary schools
- Strong knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A passion for Science and supporting young people in their learning
- Willingness to engage in professional development and contribute to school life
