The Role – English Teacher

Looking for a dedicated English Teacher to work with small classes of pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role focuses on delivering functional and GCSE-level English through highly structured, practical, and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning plans. You will be responsible for planning and teaching English that supports literacy, communication, and emotional regulation, adapting content to meet pupils’ gaps in learning and fluctuating engagement.

The role involves strong behaviour management, consistent routines, and restorative approaches, as well as close collaboration with pastoral staff, therapists, and families to support pupils’ progress both academically and socially.
