Salary: £15 – 17 PHR

Our partner school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to lead the day-to-day running of their school library and support literacy across the school.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the daily operations of the school library

* Support students with research, reading, homework, and literacy development

* Catalogue, organise and maintain books, digital resources, and library systems

* Deliver library inductions and promote reading for pleasure across year groups

* Assist teaching staff with resources for lessons and curriculum projects

* Oversee library behaviour, independent study, and quiet working areas

* Coordinate book loans, returns, reservations, and stock management

* Support whole-school literacy events, book fairs, and reading initiatives
Requirements

* Experience as a School Librarian, Library Technician, Library Assistant, or similar

* Strong organisational and administrative skills

* Confident using library management systems (e.g., Eclipse, Accessit, Oliver)

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students

* A passion for reading, information literacy, and supporting young people

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
