Overview
The School for Vocational and Technical Studies at South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Criminology lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students to maximise achievement and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou’ll play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development and select appropriate assessment methods and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students.
QualificationsWe’d like you to be qualified to degree level in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards it) and have recent teaching experience in Criminology in an FE College. With a successful record of tutoring and supporting learners and of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring and reviewing progress, you’ll have strong evidence of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
Skillsand Experience
With strong working knowledge of current framework for teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance, you’ll have interdisciplinary skills and working experience with an advanced level of computer literacy and general office software management skills. You’ll have effective presentation, delivery and time management skills for a variety of audiences, able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines.
