Functional Skills Tutor – Maths

FIND is a specialist staffing business servicing the Skills, Learning & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to support the delivery of Maths to learners completing their vocational courses.

• Lead and manage the Functional Skills delivery of the Maths provision for learners.
• Deliver high‑quality Functional Skills classes adapting to various learning styles and needs, suitable for small groups of learners.
• Ensure inclusive teaching strategies are embedded across the team.
• Promote a positive learning environment that supports engagement, wellbeing, and progress.
• Develop and implement effective schemes of work and curriculum planning tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide support for safeguarding measures.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning standards, carrying out observations and learning walks.
• Track learner progress, outcomes, and achievement rates against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with awarding bodies, funding requirements, and college policies.

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, PTTLS)
• Level 2 or above qualification in English and Maths.
• Proven experience delivering Functional Skills – supporting learners with ALNs.

This is a 6‑month FTC.
