A large SEN School based in Newham is looking for an Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs for an ASAP start. You will support a wide variation of needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language and more. Students’ needs vary in severity; some will be verbal, some non‑verbal.

If you have any experience with children aged 11+ SEN we would love to hear from you! This does not have to be direct school experience; any transferable skills will be considered.

• ASD Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
• Support students with SEN on a day‑to‑day basis (ASD, SLD, SP&L and more)
• Secondary opportunities
• Liaise with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding progress of children
• Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
• Deliver specialist interventions
• Liaise with the school's therapists
• ASAP start – long‑term – full time
• £90 – £110 per day
• Located in the Borough of Newham

• ASD Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant
• Experience of supporting children (16+) with SEN – Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L – Ideal
• Childcare related experience, ideally with a SEN focus – Ideal
• Must be resilient, patient, calm‑natured, empathetic & adaptable
• Hardworking and driven individual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
