A friendly and close‑knit one‑form entry primary school in Lambeth, located a short walk from Vauxhall Station, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one SEMH support for a Year 5 pupil in a mainstream classroom. The pupil requires consistent emotional regulation support, clear boundaries, and a calm, trauma‑aware approach to help them engage positively with learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement behaviour strategies and provide structure throughout the school day.

• Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs
• Can remain calm, patient, and consistent during challenging moments
• Understands behaviour plans and de‑escalation strategies
• Builds strong, trusting relationships while maintaining expectations
• Works confidently within a mainstream classroom setting
• Experience in SEMH support, mentoring, youth work, or care settings is highly valued.

• Supportive SENCo and approachable leadership team
• Clear routines and behaviour frameworks
• Training in SEMH and trauma‑informed practice
