An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the Outpatients training team. You will provide training assessment programmes for administrative staff across Outpatients including Outpatient Access, Inpatient Access, Endoscopy,
Switchboard and Outpatient clinics across all three sites at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Conducting regular audits, supporting managers in evaluating trainees' performance are key aspects of this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have to be organised, proactive, and adaptable with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality training delivery. You will fully participate in the development and implementation of training programmes, ensuring they are effective and aligned with Trust standards.
The ideal candidate should be a confident communicator, capable of engaging diverse audiences and skilled in delivering clear, concise training sessions. You should be innovative in developing training materials, responsive to the needs of trainees, and dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment.
You should be capable of learning and working with new systems as we continue to streamline and modernise, and be able to manage well under pressure and often in unpredictable circumstances. Outpatients is undergoing a very ambitious Transformation Programme and you will contribute to the programme as appropriate.
Main duties of the job- Delivering high quality systems training to the newly appointed staff within the directorate in a professional and customer focused approach.
- Develop appropriate end user training materials, reference materials, and handouts in line with agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows.
- Responsible for scheduling training sessions, rooms and allocating training resources.
- Supervision of staff training via competency framework .
- Undertake training needs analysis/ competency skills checklist for end user staff.
- Undertake regular training audits to assess effectiveness of training
- Coordinate the set-up of user accounts and log in details for new starters.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications- Diploma level in a computing/IT related subject or equivalent experience
- Formal training or teaching qualification
- Substantial experience in designing, developing IT based training (including 'one-to-one or classroom' style)
- Supervisory experience
- Production of user guides and training hand-outs
- Clinical systems training experience
- Training experience within NHS
- Experience in delivering Cerner training Training experience within NHS e-learning development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Coaching/Training skills
- Strong MS Office skills with ECDL equivalent
- Ability to understand the complex issues around providing a training programme in a large organisation
- Cerner Certified Trainer
