Our team works collaboratively to support students with a wide range of learning needs, promoting their independence, confidence, and well-being.

Job Purpose:

The SEN Teacher will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for students with special educational needs. You will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, support students’ individual development, and work closely with support staff and parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.

Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and parents.

Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as required.

Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social development.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to support learning.

Provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.

Participate in team meetings, training, and school activities.

Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals as needed.

Qualifications and

Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching students with special educational needs is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching methods.

Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.

Empathy, patience, and a passion for making a difference in students’ lives.
