VNA Education is working with a high-performing secondary school to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to support students within mainstream classrooms and a highly successful SEND/ASD provision.

This is an excellent opportunity for an empathetic, proactive individual to play a key role in improving outcomes for vulnerable learners, and is well suited to both experienced TAs and graduates considering a future career in education

The Role

* Support students 1:1 and in small groups across mainstream and SEND settings

* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to remove barriers to learning

* Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour

* Assist with classroom preparation, interventions and differentiated support

* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

The ideal candidate

* Experience supporting SEND, ASD or EAL learners (desirable, not essential)

* Calm, patient and highly reliable with a caring approach

* Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team

* Strong communication skills and positive behaviour management

* Passionate about supporting young people to succeed
