VNA Education is working with a high-performing sixth form provision to appoint an exceptional Mathematician in Residence to support the most able students studying A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

This is a rare opportunity for a highly qualified mathematician to operate at the intersection of academic excellence, enrichment and pedagogy, within a pioneering post-16 maths pathway

The Role

* Teach a reduced timetable of A-Level Maths and Further Maths

* Work intensively with high-attaining and Oxbridge/Russell Group applicants

* Lead problem-solving, enrichment and mathematical extension programmes

* Support university preparation, including interviews and entrance exams

* Share subject expertise and best practice with teaching staff

* Contribute to the strategic development of an elite maths provision

The Person

* Strong postgraduate qualification in Mathematics or a related field

* Exceptional subject knowledge with a passion for advanced mathematics

* Proven ability to support students to the highest academic outcomes

* Confident communicator able to coach, mentor and inspire

* Teaching qualification not required – academic credibility and aptitude for teaching essential

* Committed to high standards, inclusion and safeguarding
