ABA Tutor Early Years Autism Support

An established and forward-thinking autism support service is seeking enthusiastic committed individuals to join its growing team of ABA Tutors. You will play a vital role in supporting children aged 26 with autism and developmental disabilities across a range of settings including the home, clinic and early years environments.
This is a full-time opportunity ideal for candidates passionate about early intervention behaviour analysis or educational psychology. Whether you’re new to the field or looking to build your career in autism education, full training is provided to ensure you thrive in a highly structured supportive team.
The RoleYou will work one-to-one with children using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles to help build essential communication, social and life skills. Tutors follow individualised programmes designed to maximise independence, confidence and daily functioning.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver one-to-one ABA-based learning sessions in homes, schools or centre settings
- Follow bespoke learning plans under the supervision of experienced consultants
- Implement structured behaviour support strategies
- Track data and support child development goals across multiple domains
- Work flexibly across locations as required
- Passion for working with young children with autism or related developmental needs
- Bright energetic and emotionally resilient individuals
- Willingness to undertake comprehensive training including a 40-hour RBT course (provided)
- Strong interest in behavioural science, SEN education or early intervention
- Commitment to safeguarding and safe working practices
- Full-time availability (we do not offer part-time roles)
- Eligible to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Childcare or Health & Social Care
- Prior experience as an LSA nursery nurse or SEN support worker
- Psychology education or therapy graduates seeking practical experience
- 21,000 starting salary increasing up to 26,000 based on performance and progression
- Full-time contract from day one
- Free ABA/VB training and safeguarding certification
- Clear pathways to Supervisor and Consultant roles (BCBA supervision available)
- Friendly structured work environment with a strong support network
- Monday to Friday schedule (8:45 am – 5:00 pm)

Required SkillsDifferentiated lesson planning & delivery, Assessment for learning, Positive behaviour support, Individualised curriculum adaptation, Multi‑agency collaboration, Communication expertise, Safeguarding & pastoral care, Data & record keeping, Assistive technology proficiency, Teamwork & coaching, Reflective practice & CPD.
Required EducationPostgraduate qualification or accredited training in SEND (e.g., National Award for SEN coordination, Autism Education Trust dyslexia/SpLD or SEMH specialism). Proficiency in alternative/augmentative communication methods, Makaton, PECS, AAC using evidence‑based interventions such as TEACCH, SCERTS or Positive Behaviour in Team‑Teach, MAPA or similar de‑escalation and safe‑handling with assistive ed‑tech tools and adaptive software.
