Primary SEMH Teaching Assistant – Havering, London

Job Details:

• Start:
  January or February 2026 (full time, Monday‑Friday 8:30‑4pm).
• Contract:
  
  Long‑term until July 2026, permanent from September 2026.
• Salary: £90‑115 per day.
• Location:
  
  Close to station with parking available.
• Excellent education and training available.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support and work closely with KS1 & KS2 pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Use strong behaviour management skills to support children’s learning and personal development.
• Organise and maintain teaching and learning resources for individual students and small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to raise attainment and improve academic performance.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Previous experience working with challenging behaviour or mental health in a school setting.
• Empathy, enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
• Desire to work as part of a supportive, highly regarded primary school team.
