Education Welfare & Attendance Officer to join Cromer Road Primary School, a two‑form entry school in New Barnet. The role is within the inclusion team, focusing on maintaining the welfare of pupils and ensuring excellent attendance and punctuality during term time.

Education Welfare & Attendance Officer

Contract:

One year’s contract with a view to this becoming a permanent role
Salary:
Grade F – £34,488 pro‑rate (actual take‑home £25,278.96)

Hours:

Full time – 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, 30 hpw with a one‑hour break, term time only

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the welfare and well‑being of pupils is paramount.
  • Promote and maintain excellent school attendance and punctuality, using management information systems.
  • Work in a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Implement safeguarding procedures and child protection practices.
  • Collaborate with families to support vulnerable children.

  • Commitment to an inclusive ethos.
  • Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent).
