About the RoleWe are seeking a Counsellor to provide wellbeing support to students at the EFI Group. This involves short to medium term counselling or therapy to individuals to encourage healthy mental and emotional development, promoting longer term resilience; support to the safeguarding team including acting as a DSL. Early intervention and support are key to ensuring we support our students and enable them to achieve to the best of their ability.
Responsibilities- Provide short to medium term counselling or therapy to students (aged 16+).
- Support safeguarding team, act as a DSL and provide early intervention.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain professional boundaries.
- Maintain confidentiality and promote student resilience and emotional development.
- Diploma/ Degree in Counselling or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Level 6 or
7) and Membership of BACP, UKCP, or BABCP. - Experience supporting young people in a pastoral or student support setting.
- Familiarity with student confidentiality and effective professional boundaries with staff and students.
- Personable, highly compassionate and genuinely interested in education, with a student centred mindset.
- Funded Professional Qualifications and CPD allowance.

From £26,550 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience.
