Overview

Economics Teacher (January Start) – full‑time, long‑term, potential temp‑to‑start in Redbridge, Essex‑East London border. Deliver Economics across Key Stage 5, with optional related subjects at KS4 depending on experience. Ideal for a teacher with strong subject expertise and a passion for inspiring post‑16 learners.

• Teach A Level Economics to motivated sixth form students.
• Plan and deliver inspiring, well‑structured lessons that support high academic achievement.
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work, assessments, and enrichment opportunities.
• Maintain excellent behaviour management and create a purposeful classroom environment.
• Participate in department meetings, CPD, and wider school initiatives.

• A high‑achieving sixth form with excellent student outcomes.
• Motivated, respectful learners with strong academic aspirations.
• A supportive and well‑resourced Humanities/Economics department.
• A leadership team committed to staff development and wellbeing.
• A collaborative working culture with high professional standards.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Economics.
• Experience teaching A Level Economics in UK schools or colleges.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
