Teach online at Cosmo 1:1! Cosmo (formerly Class Up) is a premiere online learning platform that connects K‑12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for personalized lessons. As an English Second Language (ESL) Teacher at Cosmo 1:1, you will teach students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum. You will schedule flexible and consistent 50‑minute 1‑on‑1 lessons and create a welcoming and engaging learning environment.

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents, students, and Cosmo staff in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA.
• Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum.
• Experience teaching ESL learners.
• Teaching qualification preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available between 8 ‑ 2 PM GMT on Monday‑through‑Friday or 5 AM ‑ 2 PM GMT on weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis.
• Access to a private and quiet location.
• Currently located in the UK.
• Passion for helping students learn and create a positive, supportive classroom environment.
• Approachable person who builds rapport and makes students feel comfortable.
• Patient, taking the time to ensure students understand concepts at their own pace.
• Adaptive, tailoring lessons to individual learner needs and abilities.
• Considerate, providing emotional intelligence and encouragement when students face challenges.
• Enthusiastic, bringing contagious energy to the classroom.
• Reliable, arriving to class on time, prepared, and ready to teach.

The pay rate for this position is $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.
