They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Design Technology to join the strong and collaborative Technology Faculty.

Role Overview

The Teacher of Design Technology will deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will support students in developing practical skills, creative problem‑solving abilities, and deep subject knowledge in areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, engineering, or systems, depending on expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons aligned with curriculum requirements and departmental schemes of learning.
  • Teach DT across KS3 and KS4, including preparation for GCSE examinations.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and well‑organised workshop/classroom environment that promotes practical learning and creativity.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback to support learning.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and enrichment activities within the Technology Faculty.
  • Manage and maintain equipment, tools, and materials in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the ethos, vision, and values of Regent High School and participate fully in school life, including meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings.
