Software Trainer​/IT Trainer

Job Overview

Software Trainer / IT Trainer – 18‑month fixed‑term contract with The Methodist Church, located in London.

We have an exciting opportunity for a training/IT professional to design, develop and deliver high‑quality software training.

• Identify skills gaps and training needs through a comprehensive Software Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
• Create engaging, up‑to‑date training programmes, materials and documentation for individuals to ensure they can access the software used.
• Provide training sessions using a variety of methods, including in‑person sessions, one‑to‑one coaching and virtual webinars.
• Review and evaluate training and relevant feedback to ensure the training meets the necessary requirements, and report on findings to highlight areas of strength and improvement.
• Cover topics such as New software and in‑house enterprise systems, and UK GDPR and Data Protection, online safety and security best practices.

• Experience designing and delivering software training to end‑users, with a full training cycle from TNA to delivery and evaluation.
• Confident trainer for both small and large groups, across different functions and seniority levels.
• Ability to use a variety of training materials, including user manuals, video tutorials and e‑learning content.
• Degree level or equivalent experience in IT, Education or Learning & Development.
• Strong communication skills, adaptability to unexpected challenges and encouragement of engagement during training.
