Salary: £175+ per day (dependent on experience)

About the RoleWe are working with a thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and potentially Key Stage 5, inspiring students to achieve their best in this vital vocational subject.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality Health and Social Care lessons in line with the curriculum
- Prepare students for BTEC/GCSE assessments and coursework
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment
- Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative teaching practices
- Support students' academic and personal development
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of BTEC/GCSE specifications
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Experience teaching in diverse, multicultural school settings
- Ability to teach related subjects (e.g., PSHE or Sociology)
- Familiarity with vocational learning strategies
