SEN Teaching Assistant – All-Through Special Needs School

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? A well-established all-through special needs school in Woodford Green is seeking a skilled TA to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic chance to support students with complex needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment that values every learner.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning and communication needs
- Assist with the delivery of structured, engaging activities
- Support emotional regulation and promote student independence
- Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
- Proven experience in an SEN setting (school or alternative provision)
- Confidence working with non-verbal students across various age groups
- Familiarity with PECS and/or Makaton is highly desirable
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
