We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work full‑time with pupils in Year 4 who have Special Educational Needs, with a particular focus on Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them to access learning, develop positive relationships, and regulate their behaviour in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support staff
- Implement individual support strategies and behaviour plans
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
- Experience working with children with SEN and/or SEMH needs (school or alternative provision experience desirable)
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
- Understanding of behaviour as communication
- Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- Supportive and welcoming primary school environment
- Consistent, full‑time hours (8:30–4:30, Monday–Friday)

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
