We re seeking a confident and experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a well-established Secondary Academy in Southwark this September. This is a full-time contract opportunity supporting students across the school who require additional behaviour support.

The Role Behaviour Specialist TA

As a Behaviour TA, you will support individual students 1:1 and lead small group interventions focused on behaviour, regulation, and engagement. Working closely with classroom teachers and SEND staff, you ll help implement behaviour strategies and create consistent routines across the day.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH and behaviour-related needs
  • Delivering individual and small group support
  • Promoting emotional regulation and engagement
  • Assisting with positive behaviour planning and de-escalation strategies
  • Collaborating with class teachers, SENCOs and parents/carers
Role Requirements Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Be experienced in supporting children with behavioural needs in a school or similar setting
  • Be confident using positive behaviour management techniques
