We are seeking a passionate and organised Librarian to manage and develop our newly renovated library. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting reading, supporting teaching and learning, and creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for all students and staff.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the library’s collection and services.
  • Promote reading and literacy among students and staff.
  • Support teaching and learning through effective resource provision.
  • Create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all users.
Qualifications
  • A genuine passion for reading, literacy, and lifelong learning.
  • Excellent organisational and cataloguing skills.
  • Strong communication skills with students, staff, and visitors.
  • A calm, approachable, and supportive manner.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using library management systems and digital resources.
  • Initiative and creativity in promoting reading and learning activities.
  • A commitment to equality, inclusion, and safeguarding practices.
