We are seeking a passionate and organised Librarian to manage and develop our newly renovated library. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting reading, supporting teaching and learning, and creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for all students and staff.
Key responsibilities- Manage and develop the library’s collection and services.
- Promote reading and literacy among students and staff.
- Support teaching and learning through effective resource provision.
- Create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all users.
- A genuine passion for reading, literacy, and lifelong learning.
- Excellent organisational and cataloguing skills.
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and visitors.
- A calm, approachable, and supportive manner.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidence using library management systems and digital resources.
- Initiative and creativity in promoting reading and learning activities.
- A commitment to equality, inclusion, and safeguarding practices.
