This is a full-time, term-time role running from 5th January to 22nd July 2026, perfect for an HLTA looking to make a meaningful impact in a well-resourced SEND setting.

About the SEND Provision

You will play a key role teaching within the school's SEND class, which includes:

  • An additional 5 pupils who join at scheduled times throughout the day
  • A stable team of 2 full-time Teaching Assistants working alongside the HLTA

The provision is structured, nurturing, and designed to support communication, sensory regulation, emotional development, and personalised progress.

Work closely with two dedicated TAs to provide consistent, high-quality support
  • Use visuals, sensory strategies, structured routines, and communication aids effectively
  • Maintain calm, positive behaviour-support strategies across the provision
  • Monitor pupil progress, contribute to assessment, and support personalised learning plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent, wraparound support
About You
  • HLTA qualification or substantial teaching assistant experience with confidence delivering whole-class input
  • Strong experience supporting children with complex SEND, including ASD, communication needs, sensory needs, and global developmental delay
