We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a lovely secondary school located in the Barnet area. Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Studies teacher who can inspire and engage their students in the wonders of religion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Religious Studies and be able to teach this subject at GCSE level. You should be able to deliver exciting and interactive lessons that encourage students to think critically and engage in thought-provoking discussions.
As a Religious Studies teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring and nurturing the next generation of scholars and leaders, and this role will provide you with the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of your students.

To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant teaching qualification and be able to provide two references. You must also have a valid DBS check and be eligible to work in the UK.
This role is to begin immediately until the end of the academic year.
- Plan and deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that meet the needs of students at various levels.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and facilitate student understanding of concepts.
- Assess and provide feedback on student performance, including setting and marking homework, class tests, and end-of-term exams.
- Provide guidance and support to students with learning difficulties and those who require additional help.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and schemes of work.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events as required.
Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies or Humanities or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS.
- Proven experience of teaching Religious Studies or Humanities to secondary school students.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Religious Studies or Humanities curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to professional development and enhancing teaching practice.
