Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry - Maple Ward

Overview

The successful applicant will work at TOLWORTH Hospital, as part of an MDT in modern in-patient psychiatric wards. The Clinical Supervisor will be the ward consultant, based solely on the wards. The ward also has a second ward doctor (a core trainee or clinical fellow).

• The post is suitable for doctors at several stages of their career including Post Foundation Year 2, doctors seeking attainment of specific expertise in an FY3 year, or an additional clinical post while they obtain MRCPsych qualifications.
• The post will also suit doctors seeking to enhance their portfolio to gain entry to the training grades and doctors already in non-training Grade positions e.g. SAS doctors or Trust Fellows who are seeking a formal educational structure to their posts.

• Participation in the Daytime on call Duty Roster is mandatory.
• Out of hours on-call is not a compulsory part of the role, but there may be an opportunity to take part in the on-call duty rota, if desired and subject to availability.
• Work as part of an MDT in modern in-patient psychiatric wards; collaborate with the ward consultant and the second ward doctor.

Training, educational opportunities and appraisal will be available to successful candidates, including attendance at the weekly academic programme.
