Clinical and Research Fellow – The Princess Grace Hospital

This is an employment collaboration between University College London Hospitals and The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Resident Doctor who has served at least 1 year in the NHS and has completed MRCS to undertake research and clinical work under the supervision of Professor Fares Haddad.

• The post is initially for 12 months.
• Focus of the role will primarily be in lower limb arthroplasty and sports surgery.
• Learn the basics of robotic surgery in lower limb arthroplasty.
• Undertake clinical and operative work at a registrar level and join trauma lists if desirable.
• Work with a dedicated team of Research Fellows and contribute to service delivery.
• Engage in extensive research opportunities with expectations to produce high-quality research for peer‑reviewed publication and national/international meeting presentations.
• Support from the organisation for academic and clinical research, with a track record of Fellows achieving multiple presentations/publications per year.
• Benefit from extensive links to elite sport, providing additional clinical exposure and research themes.

The posts aim to boost the candidate's academic and clinical achievements to secure a place on the national training programme. They can also be used for specialist training for those who have obtained FRCS (Orth).
