Trust Doctor; eqv to ST+ in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Job summary

Senior clinical fellow or (ST5+) with interests, clinical skills and knowledge in high-risk obstetrics and gynaecology.

• Provide senior registrar-level obstetrics and gynaecology care in a busy tertiary unit, including labour ward, antenatal and gynaecology services.
• Participate in the on-call rota, lead and supervise junior doctors.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary training (e.g. PROMPT), quality improvement and governance.

• Full GMC registration.
• MRCOG or equivalent specialist registration.
• Registered for ATSM/SITM or on CESR pathway.

• Senior registrar-level O&G experience.
• >12 months NHS O&G.
• Ability to take responsibility for clinical care in a busy tertiary unit.

• Understanding of clinical governance, risk management and WeCare values.
• Knowledge of PROMPT and multidisciplinary training approaches.

• Evidence of audit and quality improvement.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

• Caring, professional manner; insight and reflective practice.
• Strong organisation.
• Commitment to personalised, safe maternity care and outstanding MDT working.

1A on-call supplement 50% and London weighting. Full day specialist interest session in Obstetrics or Gynaecology.
