Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Emergency Medicine

Overview

Applications are invited for ST4+ candidates experienced in Emergency Medicine or Acute Paediatrics with membership (MRCEM/MRCPCH). The post offers an opportunity to consolidate Paediatric Emergency Medicine competencies and pursue an area of interest, which may include one of the following.

• Education and Simulation fellowship – broad based practical training in simulation and education.
• Research and Quality Improvement fellowships – opportunities to pursue research include evaluation of digital interventions, artificial intelligence in emergency medicine (UCLH‑Turing partnership), clinical trials, novel therapeutics and diagnostics. Established links exist with the sepsis network and PERUKI. Opportunity to develop and complete projects with the expertise and ground support of the research and quality improvement teams.

60 % of the post holder’s working time will be allocated to clinical duties in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and 40 % to develop an area of special interest.

This role is supported across both the Emergency Services and Paediatric divisions.
