A Trust Doctor in TYA Haematology/Oncology (SHO/ST1+ equivalent) at UCLH, starting March 2026 on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

Post details: 40‑hour week (08:30–17:00 Monday to Friday). On‑call commitments include evening shifts, weekends and nights as part of a 1:10 rota covering general and acute paediatrics.

• Day‑to‑day clinical management of patients on the inpatient service within UCLH (T11 for paediatric patients, T12 for teenagers). Work with Specialty Registrars, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and the nursing team to review inpatients, manage admissions/discharges, plan treatments and allocate resources (after appropriate training and sign‑off).
• Clinical care within a broad range of subspecialities, including:
• Acute and chronic leukaemias
• Hodgkin and non‑Hodgkin lymphomas
• Non‑malignant haematology
• Neuro‑oncology
• Sarcomas
• Rare tumours
• Bone marrow transplant (autologous and allogeneic)
• CAR T cells therapy
• Proton beam therapy
• Lab diagnostics (flow cytometry, cytogenetics, molecular, histopathology)
• 80% clinical activity, 20% special‑interest activities such as disease‑focused research, service development, leadership and management training, and diagnostics lab attachments.

• Wednesday weekly afternoon teaching with Whittington and Royal Free Hospitals; journal clubs.
• Audit projects, guideline development, clinical trials (sub‑investigator), and other research projects.
• Leadership and management skills training and diagnostics lab attachments.
