Overview

Senior House Officer grade doctor – Junior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Department, St Mary’s Hospital, a Central London major trauma centre with a university teaching hospital and research team.

• Full shift pattern, including out‑of‑hours, early, late and night, 24‑hour coverage with a 1 in 3 weekend commitment.
• Protected non‑clinical time – 2 hours per week for audit, quality improvement and research.
• Clinical supervisor and educational supervisor for work‑based assessments, audit and training applications.
• Participation in weekly trauma governance and monthly ED governance meetings.

• Senior House Officer grade or equivalent, fully registered with the GMC.
• Stationed in a senior house officer position or willing to join other JCF posts (e.g., Major Trauma).
• National training number holders seeking an out‑of‑programme experience encouraged to apply.
• Eligibility for internal CESR rotations in anaesthetics, ICU and acute medicine.

• Six‑month fixed‑term post with possibility to rotate into other specialties.
• Full teaching programme with weekly trauma and monthly ED governance.
• Support for CESR pathway completion and training applications.
• Flexible start date and consideration of full‑time or less‑than‑full‑time.
