Trust Doctor; eqv to STin Gynaecological Oncology

Overview

We are looking to appoint 3x junior clinical fellows based at Royal London Hospital in the Department of surgical Gynaecological Oncology. The post is initially for six months, with a possible extension to twelve months.

• Play an integral role working in the multi-disciplinary team in our award-winning Cancer Centre of excellence.
• Work with the team of 7 Consultant Gynaecological Oncologists, 3 sub-specialty fellows, 1 research clinical fellow and 7 junior clinical fellows including this post.
• Actively contribute to the on-going research in the department.
• Manage surgical gynaecological oncology inpatients on the surgical ward, including 7–8 all day operating lists 4 days a week.
• Participate in the Directorate’s medical audit and the weekly Grand Round, monthly audit meetings, mortality and morbidity review meetings, multidisciplinary radiology and histology meetings and a weekly oncology teaching programme for junior doctors.

The normal working day starts at 8 am. The rota includes on-call cover between 5.00pm and 8.00pm and night cover. There will be a 1:8 weekend on call day commitment.
