Overview
We are looking to appoint 3x junior clinical fellows based at Royal London Hospital in the Department of surgical Gynaecological Oncology. The post is initially for six months, with a possible extension to twelve months.
Responsibilities- Play an integral role working in the multi-disciplinary team in our award-winning Cancer Centre of excellence.
- Work with the team of 7 Consultant Gynaecological Oncologists, 3 sub-specialty fellows, 1 research clinical fellow and 7 junior clinical fellows including this post.
- Actively contribute to the on-going research in the department.
- Manage surgical gynaecological oncology inpatients on the surgical ward, including 7–8 all day operating lists 4 days a week.
- Participate in the Directorate’s medical audit and the weekly Grand Round, monthly audit meetings, mortality and morbidity review meetings, multidisciplinary radiology and histology meetings and a weekly oncology teaching programme for junior doctors.
The normal working day starts at 8 am. The rota includes on-call cover between 5.00pm and 8.00pm and night cover. There will be a 1:8 weekend on call day commitment.
