The liver service combines with Renal and Surgery to form a division with a managerial structure under the Divisional Manager for Liver, Renal and Surgery. The adult Liver Service also combines with paediatric liver services and academics to form the Institute of Liver Studies.

The Clinical Director for Liver is supported by a number of lead clinicians: HPB, Hepatology, Liver Transplantation Surgery, Liver Laboratories, Gastroenterology.

Patients with benign and malignant hepato‑pancreato‑biliary (HPB) disease are managed on a single surgical unit within the Liver and Renal Division at King's College Hospital. The Unit performs around 200 major HPB surgical cases a year. There are 7 consultant surgeons:
Parthi Srinivasan, Krishna Menon, Ameet Patel (HPB only), Alessandro Parente, Mohamed Elmasry, and Simon Atkinson (pancreas only – joint appointment with Guy's/St Thomas's). All have a variety of additional interests including transplantation, laparoscopic and general surgery.
