Location: Greater London
Clinical Fellow (ST3+ Equivalent) in Cardiac Surgery
Barts Health NHS Trust, St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The role will be based at the Barts Heart Centre for 12 months.
Job OverviewThe Barts Heart Centre is the largest cardiothoracic and vascular centre in the UK, with nine operating theatre suites, two hybrid theatres, and a comprehensive cardiology and respiratory department. The team performs over 2000 cardiac and 800 thoracic procedures annually.
Responsibilities- Work within a resident rota and non‑resident on‑call rota.
- Participate in weekly education programmes and attend pan‑Thames training days.
- Engage in concurrent research and audit projects.
- Support the multidisciplinary team in patient care within the intensive care unit and wards.
- Registered surgeon (ST3+ or equivalent) with previous cardiothoracic surgical experience.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and aiming for a career in cardiac surgery.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
