Advanced Clinical Fellowship (Neurocritical Care & Neuroimmunology)

National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery (NHNN), UCLH – one year full‑time clinical fellowship starting August 2026.

• Work in the MITU firm, providing specialist care for neurocritical and neuroimmunology patients.
• Develop autonomous clinical assessment and decision‑making skills under supervision.
• Engage in multidisciplinary care with nursing, OT, physiotherapy, speech & language therapy, neuropsychology, neuro‑ophthalmology, neuroradiology, neurophysiology, laboratory neuroimmunology and neurointensive care teams.
• Collaborate with the plasma exchange team, neuro‑pharmacists and participate in weekly encephalitis MDT.
• Attend daily teaching sessions – grand rounds, clinico‑pathologic cases, bedside teaching, consultant‑led tutorials and protected weekly teaching aligned to the curriculum.
• Log progress in an electronic portfolio, report to a named educational supervisor.

• Full GMC registration and MRCP or equivalent essential.
• Completion of CMT training or equivalent.
• Experience in neurology and/or stroke with keen interest in pursuing a career in neurology/stroke.
• Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise.
• Experience working in the NHS, understanding of research methodology, knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, Good Clinical Practice and GDPR.

Daily teaching opportunities – grand rounds, clinico‑pathologic cases, bedside teaching, consultant‑led tutorials and a protected weekly teaching session delivered by consultants.

All trainees have a named educational supervisor and an electronic portfolio for logging progress.

Fixed‑term contract – 12 months full‑time.

Annual salary £73,992 + London weighting.
