We wish to recruit a salaried GP (up to 6 sessions, not less than
4) to join our practice in Deptford, Lewisham. Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday, and Friday.
We are a 16,000 patient training practice based in the Waldron Health Centre. Our practice values kindness, approachability, friendliness and compassion, alongside high standards of clinical care. We have a diverse clinical team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, an internal Clinical Pharmacist, medical students and GP registrars.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
- Provide services commensurate with the GP contract.
- Generic prescribing adhering to practice and national guidance.
- Effective management of long‑term conditions.
- Process administration promptly, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other administrative tasks.
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in line with good practice, policy and guidance.
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload.
- Adhere to best practice through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area or the QOF.
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings.
- Support the development and maintenance of clinical governance, training, financial management and HR.
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal and revalidation process.
- Commit to self‑learning and promote a culture of continuing professional development.
- Support the training of medical students across all clinical disciplines.
- Assist partners in achieving strategic aims, including income enhancement and expenditure reduction.
- Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies.
- Encourage collaborative working and regularly liaise with all staff.
- Qualified GP with MRCGP and General Practitioner (CCT).
- Full GMC registration and National Performers List registration.
- Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU).
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
- Experience in a primary care environment and continuous professional development.
- Experience of QOF, clinical audit, and the GMS/PMS contract.
- High standards in written and verbal communication.
- Experience working within a multicultural framework and addressing diversity issues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own caseload and time.
- Experience of medicines management and ICB initiatives (desirable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable under pressure.
- Strong time‑management and organisational skills.
- Team player who fosters good working relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary
: £12,000 to £12,200 per session, depending on experience.

:
Permanent.

Full‑time or part‑time (up to 6 clinical sessions per week).

Suite 5, Waldron Health Centre, Amersham Vale, New Cross, London, SE14 6LD.
