An internationally recognised architecture and design studio are looking for an Associate Director to join its team in London. The studio works across exceptional residential, hospitality, and heritage projects, with a reputation for delivering thoughtful and carefully crafted architecture. The opportunity
An Associate Director is sought to join the senior leadership team and help guide the design and delivery of major international residential and hospitality projects. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to lead a large project team on a complex international commission, working closely with the founding director and playing a key role in shaping the future direction of the practice.
The role
The Associate Director will take responsibility for the creative direction and delivery of complex projects, leading internal teams and coordinating consultants while maintaining a clear and consistent architectural vision.
The role involves leading project teams, representing the studio with clients and collaborators, and ensuring design quality is upheld throughout all project stages. It also includes mentoring architects and designers within the studio and contributing to the wider leadership, culture, and continued development of the practice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of major residential and hospitality projects
- Manage and inspire large internal project teams
- Collaborate closely with the founding director on design development and project strategy
- Act as a key point of contact for clients and consultants
- Maintain design quality across all RIBA stages
- Oversee coordination, programme, and project delivery
- Mentor and support the professional development of studio staff
- Contribute to the ongoing leadership and growth of the practice
About you
- ARB registered architect with over ten years post Part 3 experience
- Extensive experience delivering large, complex luxury residential or hospitality projects
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex international projects
- Excellent design judgement with a strong technical understanding
- Confident communicator with strong client facing and leadership skills
- Highly organised, collaborative, and commercially aware
