Architectural Technologist​/Technical Architect at Design- studio

Role Overview

You will play a key role from RIBA Stage 3 onwards, applying in-depth knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and technical standards to deliver projects that balance compliance with refined architectural design. The role requires the ability to translate regulatory and technical requirements into well-resolved detailing that supports a strong aesthetic vision.

• Lead technical development of projects from RIBA Stage 3 through to completion
• Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements
• Produce coordinated technical drawing packages and detailed design information
• Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and contractors
• Contribute to both new build and restoration private residential schemes, as well as mixed-use master planning projects

• Proven experience in technical delivery within UK practice
• Strong detailing capability, ideally with traditional and conservation project exposure
• Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies
• Proficiency in CAD software (Vectorworks preferred)
• Working knowledge of Sketch Up, InDesign, Photoshop and related design tools
• Hand drawing skills advantageous
• Excellent organisational, communication and team collaboration skills
• High-end private residential (new build and refurbishment)
• Listed buildings and conservation work
• Mixed-use and master planning schemes
