An established, design-led architectural practice is seeking a Senior Architect to join its London studio. The successful candidate will take a lead role in the design development and delivery of complex, large-scale projects, contributing both creatively and technically across all RIBA stages.
This is a leadership-focused position requiring strong design judgement, technical rigour, and the ability to manage teams, consultants, and client relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Lead projects through RIBA Stages 1–6, ensuring design quality and technical excellence.
- Manage project teams, coordinating internal resources and external consultants.
- Act as primary client interface, leading meetings and presentations.
- Oversee production of planning, tender, and construction information.
- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and statutory requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to studio knowledge-sharing.
- Monitor programme, risk, and fee performance in collaboration with senior leadership.
- ARB-registered Architect (essential).
- Significant post-qualification experience within a UK practice.
- Proven track record delivering complex residential, mixed-use, commercial, or civic schemes.
- Strong technical delivery experience, including detailed design and site coordination.
- High proficiency in Revit (essential); BIM coordination experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Sound understanding of UK planning processes and procurement routes.
- Experience leading large-scale or multi-phase developments.
- Sustainability accreditation (e.g., Passivhaus, BREEAM knowledge).
- Experience managing project finances and resourcing.
