Overview of the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive Senior Event Manager to join a centralised Event Operations team, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of face-to-face and hybrid events.
The role will focus on operational delivery across a range of formats including breakfast briefings, lunches, conferences, awards ceremonies and roadshows. Events are closely aligned to established industry brands, with existing readership communities forming the core audience base.
You will act as the primary operational lead for your event portfolio, ensuring consistency, quality and best practice across delivery. The position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with responsibility for driving continuous improvement and innovation across events.
The role operates on a hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days in the London office (increasing during peak event periods).
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end operational delivery of a portfolio of events from conception through to completion.
- Line manage and mentor junior team members, supporting delivery standards and professional development.
- Plan resources effectively to deliver a busy calendar of conferences, round tables, roadshows and awards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with venues and suppliers.
- Act as a key point of contact for speakers, sponsors, delegates and partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, sales, marketing, design and customer teams.
- Lead operational projects across areas such as sustainability, event technology and accessibility.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across event delivery processes.
- Maintain full ownership of event budgets, cost control and financial tracking.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring several years’ experience managing operations for sponsored, face-to-face B2B events.
