Overview
Community Dental Services - Camden, Islington, Haringey, Enfield. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Dental Nurse to join our dynamic Community Dental team. We provide special care dentistry across ten boroughs in London, for adults and children in settings including community dental clinics, domiciliary, hospitals, oral surgery service and a fluoride varnish programme. Training will be provided to support you in this role and to meet your GDC/CPD requirements.

- Assisting the clinicians in the provision of all dental treatment clinically and on visits to patients homes.
- Prepare surgeries for all dental procedures whilst maintaining a hygienic working environment.
- Communicate appropriately and sensitively with patients, families and carers to provide reassurance and support, taking into consideration differences in language, ability and culture.
- Undertake reception, clerical and administrative duties for the dental clinic(s)/service.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Organised and methodical.
- Competent in basic MS Office and IT applications.
- Possesses initiative, can be flexible.
- Ability to participate in and contribute to the dental team.
- Efficient and accurate in record keeping.
- Essential: NEBDN and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent.
- Essential:
Registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Care Professional.
- DNETC certificate or equivalent in fluoride varnish application.
- NEBDN certificate in conscious sedation.
- NEBDN certificate in Dental Radiography.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Organised and methodical.
- Competent in basic MS Office and IT applications.
- Possesses initiative, can be flexible.
- Ability to participate in and contribute to the dental team.
- Ability to deal with patients needs in a caring and sensitive manner and to put them at ease.
- Efficient and accurate in record keeping.
